There are reports that Washignton, D.C. is trying to pass a law that you cannot deny someone who wants to rent your your housing because of their race. The U.S. Commision on Civil Rights has released a statement saying how it is ver important for this law to be passed and it seems as if it will be soon. Residents all over D.C. have refused to sell thier house or rent thier housing to African Americans and it has gotten worse over the years.
I feel this law needs to be passed immedietly. As an African American i feel disrespected that it is even allowed to happen in the pass years. Thinking racial things such as this was done with I was shocked to read about this in the Washignton Post. Very disapointed in the Human Rights for not acting on this sooner after it was reported over the years. I agree that this law needs to get passed soon.
