Social Media for the Metro

Interesting article from the post today discusses how the metro plans to integrate twitter with their customers so that they can better communication with the public. as i read this article i cant help but sit back and wonder how involved twitter is with everything and how much the metro is struggling. i follow some people on twitter who use the metro to get to work and everyday they complain either how slow the metro is moving or how much they hate it. i rode the metro a couple times since i started attending UMD and i never really had problems with it, but from what i read, they seem to constantly have issues. I think for the Metro that this is a big advancement for them due because they are using Twitter as a means to have better service and positive reviews from their customers. I think that their success that comes from this will be pretty huge.
